This paper demonstrates that marmosets are a good model system for human osteoarthritis (OA) as they have similar joint morphology, age-related progression of pathology, and sex differences. My quantitative micro-CT analysis shows that geriatric marmosets have greater medial tibial cortical and trabecular bone thickness than adult marmosets.
