Congratuations to Roberto for passing his preliminary exam!

Roberto passed his prelim on 10/25/22! His thesis, titled “Development of novel model materials and non-invasive microstructural imaging techniques for understanding knee ligament mechanics” involves the study of the microstructure and mechanical behavior of helically architected fibers and their use as microstructural and mechanical surrogates of knee ligaments. Using these ligament-mimicking fibers, Roberto works on developing structure-function relationships for knee ligaments via Diffusion Tensor Imaging, a Magnetic Resonance Imaging modality with promising clinical applications.

We are so proud of you, Roberto!
