We are very excited to have Melany Opolz joining our TBL team this fall! Melany is a current PhD student studying Chemical Engineering. When asked why she joined the lab, Melany said, “I joined TBL because I am generally interested in biomechanics and, particularly, in the effect that exercise has on bones… The collaborative group atmosphere and working environment in the lab are exceptional.”
Melany will work on equine biomechanics and hopes to develop a predictive model for stress fracture which could be applied to human athletes.
